New Additions: Liz Earle and Levi's

I've not shopped in such a long while that I hadn't realised A) some of my makeup was drying out/crusty/empty and B) my wardrobe was seriously lacking in the denim department. My mom jeans being too big (they're now officially lounge clothes because if I wore them out I'm almost certain I'd flash someone) and my ripped Topshop Leigh's wearing incredibly thin (practically tissue paper) I thought some new purchases were in order...

The style I was aiming for was in between skinny and straight legged in a classic blue jean wash, and preferably a raw hem at the ankle for a more relaxed vibe. Nothing too picky? Wrong...

Finding these jeans was not an easy feat, jeans shopping is the worst kind of shopping, right? (ok bra shopping is a close second) My legs must've squeezed into every pair of jeans on the market from high street to higher end, all to no avail. A quick denim epiphany later, and I'd realised the one place I hadn't ventured into was perhaps the most iconic of denim suppliers, Levi's!

I immediately gravitated towards the 'Wedgie' fit (high waist, skinny up top and straight in the calf, AND with a raw hem!). Heads up, your true size will feel snug to begin with, but the shop assistant assured me that they will stretch slightly. After doing some squats in the changing room I already felt the jeans give and I can see these fitting like a glove after a few wears. They're the perfect cut for an effortless street style/ model off duty look and I can see myself keeping these babies for years to come.

Moving on to makeup now, and trusty Liz Earle came through with exactly what I'd ran out of but in all cruelty-free versions. I picked up the Lash Definition Mascara in brown and the Light Reflecting Concealer in 01 Fair. Both are soon to be featured in an upcoming everyday makeup look so keep an eye out for that to see the products in action and reviews :)

What have you been buying recently? Any denim recommendations?

  2. Yes I agree jeans shopping is a terrible experience, it's rare that I find a pair that fit my legs without being too big round my waist - so stressful! The Levis look fab though, I love the raw hem!

    1. It's just the worst! No way that's my exact problem! Why don't brands listen up and make jeans fit for us folk :(

  3. I don't think I've thought to buy jeans from Levi which is ridiculous really isn't it! I normally get my jeans from ASOS, I find they're amazing quality with loads of different styles available and they fit just right x
